In 2007, Property for Kids raised a staggering £25,000 of which the majority will go to the Dodford Children's farm with smaller amounts going to other worthwhile Midland's childrens charities.
Dodford Children's Holiday Farm is a rural escape providing positive, new experiences for socially and physically disadvantaged children.
Dodford Children’s Holiday Farm provide holidays and short breaks to local children who are disadvantaged by their circumstances - particularly those living in deprived urban areas or those who suffer from a physical disability.
Built on nine acres of land, Dodford Children’s Holiday Farm is a rural haven providing these children a sanctuary from the urbanisation of the city. A stay at the Farm promotes the physical and emotional well-being of city children through fresh country air, outdoor play, caring for animals and healthy home cooking.
During their stay children can help feed, clean and care for the animals, play in the expanse of Dodford Farm’s grounds or on those rainy days; expel energy in the farm’s indoor play barn – a complete contrast to the urbanisation of the city.
